Alumni of the Year

Each year the Leadership Council Bluffs Alumni Association recognizes a Leadership Council Bluffs graduate who has exhibited exceptional leadership and demonstrated ongoing dedication to positive change in the community.

The Leadership CB Alumni Association board named our Alumni of the Year award for Doug Goodman, who was a member of Class 1 and exemplified community leadership and involvement. He served on numerous boards, including Iowa Western Community College, Iowa West Foundation, Chamber of Commerce, SWI Education Foundation, Pottawattamie County Development Corp. and Leadership Alumni. He was also active in many other civic organizations and fundraisers such as Rebuild Bayliss Park. His 2018 passing was the loss of a true community leader.

Nomination/Selection Policy:
Candidates must be a graduate of Leadership Council Bluffs and can be nominated by anyone. Candidates must be a current paid member of the Leadership Council Bluffs Alumni Association (LCBAA) as of current year.

The selection committee consists of the LCBAA Board. The recipient will be honored at the LCBAA’s Annual Meeting.

Each nominee is judged on the quality of their leadership performance and/or the extent to which they have made a meaningful contribution to the community.  In order for the nominee to be adequately evaluated, the quality of the nomination itself may be a factor in the selection committee’s decision.  Therefore, please provide sufficient information in the nomination by answering the nomination questions as completely as possible.
